According to Catholic Vital Records of Central Pennsylvania my ancestor Edward J. Brookbank had as his grandparent:Guilhelmus Diarmitt, son of Samuel and Catharina Diarmitt. Edward was born 30 December 1837 in Cambria Co., PA. John Brookbank and his wife Ann Adams emigrated from St. Mary's County, Maryland and were escorted to the Loretto, Pennsylvania area by Father Gallitzen. Their son Thomas Brookbank 1801-1877 married Mary Brady 1814-1852. They were Edward's parents. I am looking for the connection between Diarmitt and Brookbank. Any help would be appreciated.
