Nancy,

I am a decendant of Solomon myself through Elisha Dearman/Mary Brigman to their son, Harris T. Dearman who was my 2nd great grandfather. Married Eliza Creel in MS and had my great grandmother, Roxane.

The Dearman info that far back came from the following website:

http://www.angelfire.com/me3/families/dearman/index.htm

Another reference I found was marriage info from the Seventeenth Century Colonial Ancestors, Vol. III. It's a reference book and has Richard Dearman(1634-84)VA m. Elinor Harris and Says "Original Planter". If you have an Ancestry.com subscription you can bring it up with a search for Richard. There are many trees that show Richard Dearman comes from Braithwaite, England. The names certainly do coincide, but Richard, Thomas, Elizabeth and Mary are so common, it would be difficult to determine that for sure.

Hope that helps. You can check my family tree on Ancestry.com also. The name is Hays- Johnson, Dearman, Creel.
