I have been trying to find my grandfathers family line. He was born to an Elizabeth Emma Dearman on March 4, 1906 in Leichester, England. We're not sure of the "true" story of whether Elizabeth died when my grandfather was born, or if she really gave him up for adoption. In any event, he was adopted into the John Bounds family and lived in Liverpool, England - and later came to Canada with his adopted family.
I found it interesting that your husband has both of my family names, Dearman & Bounds. If you have any info at all on Elizabeth Dearman or her family from England, or anyone who may know of the John Bounds family of Liverpool, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
