Oops. Based on more documentary information, it seems that Charles probably remained in Sheffield, and it may have been Walter who made the name change. Also, I have some age information that reflects that Charles was Walter's grandfather, rather than Ted's grandfather. However, I do have to believe that there was a name change from Dearman to Smith within this group. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. Ted died in 1964, so I can't ask him anything more.
