Shelly - can you tell me more about your father's ancestry? My father's line traces to White/DeKalb Co. Tennessee in the early 1800's. The earliest known Dearman in my line is John L. Dearman, born in Tennessee about 1818, who was at one time a sheriff of DeKalb Co. Later, after the Civil War, these Dearmans moved to Nashville, TN. John L. Dearman died in 1879 in Nashville. His sons were Alexander Dearman, Levi Lafayette Dearman and James Dearman.

Connie
