Pat,
Were you aware that there was a DeArman in the Thompson Stansell household during the 1850 Census which was recorded during Feb 1851. I think that entry reads "Jos" but could be "Jas" age 36, b. KY.
During the month of June, 1860 the Thompson Stansell Household shows John DeArman, age 3, b. TX.
The 1870 Census numerated in Aug shows Ury Stansell as head of the household with Joe DeArman age 50 b. KY and John age 12 b. TX.
There are a number of deds and other civil records in the fannin Co. Archives that have the name of John W. DeArman on them, often, he was involved in land or other deed transactions with Thompson or Albert J. Stansell. Some of the records show him in partnership with the Stansells.
