James Dearman m. Lucretia Bassett 1810 Wash Co AL

Have discovered info some of you may like to have. Believe James is s/o Jonathan Dearman [found this on Beckler Web Site] who was in Washington County for some little time in early 1800s.

James is recorded as HOF with no dependents in 1810 Washington Co., Mississippi Territory Census.

James Dearman m. Lucretia Bassett 1810
They have 3 children:

Thomas B. [Bassett] Dearman who m. Mary Ann Boykin 4-2-1846; AND 2 daughters who're names I haven't defined at the moment. Believe this is possible by digging in the Marriage Records at the Courthouse in Chatom as well as Cemetery records unless of course they're buried in unmarked graves].

James and Lucretia were DIVORCED in 1818: Legislative Acts: Divorce Acts: 1st Session of 1818 Legislature.

There are records of the family, Elisha Dearman, etc. in subsequent Census Records, will have to dig it out.

Bearsheba's will is matter of record in Probate Court, entered for Probate September 11, 1876. Also of record in State of Alabama, Department of Archives & History, Inventory of County Records.

Ely I Bowling is descendent of Lucretia Bassett's sister Barbara Bassett m. (Maj.) Robert L. Bowling. Ely was married twice. Ely I. Bowling m. Melissa A. Dearman on 1-4-1860. Am not sure yet who Melissa's parents are. Will have to check further.

As am researching my Bassett/Richardson lineage it is necessary to also research the lineage of Lucinda Bassett's sisters as the descendents children of Thomas Bassett V married their cousins. The Zoo gets to be a bit tedious.

Would appreciate any info anyone might have to offer.
