There are Dearmans in my family. I descend from Ellender Dearman who married John Ryan. Her father was Solomon b. about 1780 S.C. and died 1837 in Copiah Co., Ms. This Solomon was the son of Thomas Monroe Dearman, Sr. son of No. 1 Richard and Eleanor Dearman b. 12 June1752 at Anson Co. NC and died in Ala. Thomas married 2.to Susannah Mims.
Thomas has 6 children by first wife (unknown) and 5 children by Susannah. This information came from book "Ancestors and Descendents of the Dearman-Deerman and Related Families" compiled by Velvo and Margaret Chaney. It is very intereting and suggests that No.1 Richard's father was Harrison Dearman and that Richard No.1 came to America in 1656.
