Just found where Aunt Lucy (Daringer) Latting's dau
Ms. Jewell E. (Latting) Modracek of Cedar Rapids, IA
died 19 JUl 2007. check out the website below:

Great newspaper article. Going to check for Aunt Lucy
thru the funeral home there too.
As per your Q's. Martha's maiden name was WARF, her
married name was FURR and then she married Joseph DARINGER.
Alis was her last child with C. H. FURR, do not know any
more about him. Possible brothers to him are Martin FURR
and James T. FURR; possible 2 sisters and another brother
William FURR. Alis had a sister Dora Belle FURR who
married Thomas J. Archer in Butler Co MO.
She had another sister Sarah Jane FURR listed in 1880
Fed Census, Dunklin Co, MO, Cotton Hill Twp as S.J. and
a brother J. W. Furr, aka J. William Furr. Suspect that
Sarah and J. William are from another wife; as this would
have put Martha about age 12/13 giving birth to Sarah.
We can not find where C. H. FURR is buried or when he died.
When Martha and Joseph married they lived in Ash Hill Twp
just West of FISK, MO which is North of Broseley. Found
it on my Missouri Atlas & Gazetteer. This book cost about
$20.00 but for family tree towns research it is great.
Shows the small towns listed that no longer are there.
Alis was my great grandmother. I lived with her from age
6 till 14. She died shortly after my 14th birthday.
Born 17 Dec 1885, died 11 Jul 1971 in St Charles, MO.
My great grandfather died Jun 1963 after my 7th birthday.
DeWitt "Dee" Sutherland b. 15 Jan 1885 d. 16 Jun 1963.
My mother was Shirley June Jones, b. 25 Oct 1935,
d. 24 Feb 2006, Mom married my Dad, George Benson Armstead
27 Aug 1955 in Alton, Missouri. Daddy was b. 18 Dec 1921
d. 4 Feb 1991 at home.
There are 6 of us children and we are all still here,
thank the Good Lord.
My Mom's Mother is Zara Olive (Sutherland) Jones.
b. 24 Sep 1913 and she is still going, having heart
trouble, living in Nursing Home, West Plains, MO.,
will be 95years on her birthday.
I have 3 children, twin sons, Michael and Phillip Hodges.
Michael is married to a wonderful lady, Jordan and they
have my only grandchild, Lenore and she is age 1 year.
My last child is Amanda Williams and she is 14. The boys
are 23. Michael is in the US Army, Jordan is in the
US Navy, both working in Germany, Phillips is in the
US Army National Guard and currently at Ft Jackson, SC.
I am a twin also with a twin sister, Mary. Then there
are George, Melba, John and Marshall (the baby). lol
I will get a binder notebook but together and if nothing
comes up will be there for the family reunion.
