In my Henry County Marriage records, I have the following: Dearinger, John [21] to Jane Ann Hardin [16], 22 May 1879, at Rance Thurman's house. I then show a William H. Dearinger [21] to Elizabeth Harlow, on 23 Jun 1881, at Martin Dearinger's house. In the 1860 Henry Co. Census a John and Wm. H. appear in the family of John and Mary Dearinger as ages 2 & 1/2 respectively. John Dearinger, Jr. mar. Mary Downy, 28 Sep 1847. John Dearinger, Sr. bonded the marriage. I feel with some certainty that John, Sr. was the son of Andrew and Dowry Stogdill, who married in Woodford Co. in 1792, Andrew being the son of the KY patriarch John Dearinger and his wife Mary Catherine. In short, I do not find a Jothan Dearinger, or a Jane Ann Harlow in my Henry Co records. Hope this isn't confusing.
