It is possible that a few John's got mixed up. I got my information from NC Historical Society. So, don't know.
I listed Sally Lynch as a possible wife and maybe that possible was left out by the time you got the info.
Here is something that may or may not be of help:
John Dearing purchases land on the South side of the Dan River in 1779,lying in both Guilford and Surry Counties. Anthony and Robert witness
this deed.
I must tell you that I don't have the time to look into this at the moment. I have lung cancer and having surgery soon and all that stuff later so right now that comes first.
I will look into this soon as I can.
