NINETY YEARS AGO

September 24, 1914

Mr. George Henry Dearing, 85, died Wednesday, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Florence Clark with whom he had been making his home for several years. Mr. Dearing was born and reared in this county. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Florence Clark of this city, and W.H. Dearen, of this county. At the age of 18, Mr. Dearing enlisted in the Mexican War. His passing removed the last old soldier in Taylor County.
