MILNE family of Aberdeenshire (also DEANS)

Hi there,
I just posted about a Deans family of Aberdeenshire. I'm also looking for any information on the sister of James Deans (from the previous post).

Jane Deans appears in the 1841 and 1851 censuses at the Coilacriech Inn in the parish of Glenmuick. (James appears in the 1851 census in the Inn.)

I haven't found Jane in the 1871 census, but in 1878 she married Charles Milne. Jane was born in 1838, and Charles ten years later in 1848.

They appear in the 1881 census in Ballater, Glenmuick with a son, Francis. They had at least one other child, Charles Deans Milne, who was born 4 Sep 1881 in Ballater.

Charles was a witness for the death of Margaret Deans (Jane and James' sister) in 1913, and for the death of his mother in 1926. Both deaths occurred in Birch Villa, Torphins, Kincardine O'Neil.

If anyone knows of any other children, or of what happened to Charles or Francis, then please get in contact. Also if someone knows when Charles died.

Also if anyone knows what may have happened to William Deans, who was born in Coilacriech in 1848. He is the only Deans child I know next to nothing about. I think he is probably the river watcher in the 1881 census, but that is the only thing I have found.

(The children were Margaret, Jane, Francis, James, Catherine and William.)

Cheers!
Nick
