Deans in Wales.

This is a long long shot.

My father, Matthew Deans married my mother in Berlin in 1952, I was born in West Lothian in 1953.

I only discovered relatively recently that my father had in fact been married before, to a Welsh woman, possibly, though not certainly, from Cardiff. More intriguingly there was a son, a half brother to myself. I have no idea what his name might be, I do not even know if my father's first wife perhaps reverted to her maiden name, or re-married.

I can only say the marraige probably took place after the war, before 1952, when my parents married.
My father was a soldier in Berlin in the fifties, Black Watch.
My mother is German.(or was, she's lived in Scotland for 50 years+)

My father had 2 brothers, Andrew and Robert(Killed in Korea) , and 2 sisters May (married George Peel), and Jean.
His father was Robert Deans, born 1901.

If anyone recognises anything above, do drop me a line.
I'd love to make contact with this long lost half brother.
