Dear Mr. Ferrell,
Thank you for responding. My grandmother was Marjorie Stuart Avent... Her mother was the daughter of Louis Byron Ferrell and his parents were Sarah Deans and William Crocket Ferrell. I believe I have the same picture that you are talking about. Was the picture of William and Sarah taken around 1870? I know that I have an original of the two of them. My information about Sarah Deans is limited. I have all the information about Robert Dean's estate because he died unexpectedly and young. I have some of the wills of Sarah's siblings, but that is about it. I knew that Robert was from Johnston Co, but I had not yet researched it, because I wanted to know for sure that I had the right person. I thought from a will that I found that Mary was a Cox, but once again I wasn't positive. That is all I have on the ancestory. I can offer you the descendency...if you are interested.
