I have only the oral history and it is sparse on dates. THe line i have is

John Deane (brighton England) m. Francis Dighton (welsh?) Migrated to USA (ME area)
bore       John Deane Jr. m. Hannah Bird
bore        John Deane III
bore       Abial Deane
bore       Abial Deane Jr. m. Zebiah Field
bore       Cyrus Deane m. Mary Winslow and bore two sons
       Samuel Deane m. Louis (Lois) Fisher 1853 to IA
who bore       Lucy Deane
and Cyrus bore Abial Winslow Deane III m. Miss (?) Ripley in Temple ME
       who bore ca. 1844 Josiah Winslow Deane in IL

Josiah Winslow Deane m. Lucy Deane (first cousins)
They bore two children, Elizabeth Deane and Aubrey (male) Winslow Deane who married Bessie Hilliard. Aubrey and Bessie bore several children including Carolyn Deane Carithers and Jackson Winslow Deane m. Bernice Graham

My relatives first hand knowledge/memory goes back to Aubrey and Bessie and they have been dead almost 40 years. Josiah and Aubrey were railroad men. Josiaah in IL and then IA and Aubrey first in IA and later in Kansas City. Any help on this would be appreciated by this obvious novice.
