He states "More children were born to this couple, however at this time I do not have names - 2 or 3 of the boys moved west after the Civil War, last heard they went to Texas"he also states " they had at least 5-6 boys and at least 2-3 girls"I guess that they had more than the 5 or 6 boys because the above known named children did not go to Texas, he remembers the story of 2 or 3 of the boys went to Texas, but he did not remember their names - it was not the above listed ones he states.
The writer understands that the Dean's/Deen's came from England and settled in Virginia/North Carolina area. His Great Grandparents (his Grandfather is Henry -brother to our James) migrated South and settled a farm on the Flint River about 12 miles North of Bainbridge Georgia,he understands that this area was pretty rough back in those days. The father of the children listed above, got into some trouble with the law, he then left his wife and children, and headed towards the west - it was heard years later that he lived somewhere around New Orleans, Louisiana, and had married again and raised another family.
