Ellen Carol Dean, 70, of Church Hill, Hawkins Co TN,
passed away August 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with
cancer.

She was born in Hawkins County, TN, on July 24, 1939; and
preceded in death by her mother and dad, Myrtle and Noah
Larkins; three brothers, David, Robert, and Scott Larkins.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis Dean;
two sons, James Dean and wife Diana of Church Hill, TN,
and Daniel Dean and wife Donna of Richmond, VA; one
brother, Bert Larkins; two grandchildren, Chris Dean and
Selena Dean; three nieces, Barbara Jones, Rebecca Sharete,
and Donna Carter.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bristol
Hospice for their care and a special thanks to neighbor
and friends, Christine and Farley Meade.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2009,
from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes,
Kingsport, TN.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m., with Rev. Andy
Sensabaugh, Evangelist Tommy Holder, and Pastor Arvil Dean
officiating.

Burial services will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at
1 p.m., at Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris B. Dean, R. D. Dean, Farley
Meade, Jamie Meade, Harvey Bland, and Charles Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris A. Dean and Johnny Fields.

Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes is serving the Dean family.
