I know hardly anything about my Dean family and started searching other places hoping to find a clue. The only information I have about my G-Grandfather's (Amos Marshall Dean) early years is what is on his death certificate so I know he was born in Jackson, MS 1875. At some point he came to OK where he married and his children were born. He may not have any connection to San Saba, TX at all except that his daughter married a man from there. I was grasping at straws when I asked about Deans in San Saba because someone left a query here about Deans there. Since his son-in-law was from there, and knowing how southern famlies tended to stick together with family-friends-neighbors, I thought there might be a closer/earlier connection. So, is Amos Marshall Dean the son of John Dean and Jerusha Hamblin from SC?
