Thanks for answering my e-mail. My gg-grandfather was Daniel Frank Dean born 18 Dec 1818 in Montgomery County, AL and died 14 Jul 1874 in Palestine, TX. He married Ann Jeter Hatley, born 6 Oct 1822 in AL and died 16 Nov 1885 in Palestine, TX. Someone on a website has linked Daniel Frank Dean as a son of John Madison Dean, Sr, born abt 1784 aboard ship off the coast of Carolina. He died between 1840-50 in Lowndes County, AL. He married Nancy Ann Mathis b1790-d1860. John Madison Dean's father was John Dean born 1764 in Ireland and his mother was Elizabeth Minton born 1764.

If any of this matches your Dean's I'd appreciate knowing how. Thanks for your help.
