Hi Penny,

I've looked through my records, but don't find anything on John Marion Dean, nor a descendent in any line that might have been given the name Marion. My Daniel Frank Dean was born in Montgomery AL and died in Palestine, TX. He also named a son Franklin. I found one document on Ancestry.com that shows Daniel's parents are John Madison Dean (b1780NC) and Nancy Mathis (b1790SC), but am not sure this is correct.
