Many years ago I received pages from the Hilliker and Toaz Family bibles that had been transcribed/typed by the DAR; I was able to connect those of the surnames Moss and some of the Deans to those I had on my database, but to this day I cannot connect a specific Dean to my own family of Deans from Canada. Queries in the past have yielded nothing; hoping for more this time around. My Dean line out of Canada is that of Daniel Matthew Dean who is on page 23: Notation above his name reads: "On piece of paper in Bible -- Great Grand fathers family. " Daniel M. Dean b. March 31th 1775. Then follow his children with their dates of births; no wife for Daniel is shown. I know he had a wife Elizabeth when he made his will in 1847. So: why is my Daniel Dean in this bible for the Hilliker-Toaz-Dean-Moss families? How does he connect to Hiram A. Dean who md. Clarinda A. Hilliker on 01 Nov. 1874 (location of course, as with all, not shown). Who does Hiram belong to? I think he had parents Benjamin Dean and Elizabeth (---) but in checking Canadian census I found more than one couple of this name with a son Hiram who could fit. I think the bible may have been done by a Melinda Hilliker Toaz, ? I have gone over this information so many times in the years I have had it ( since 1991) and still cannot make a connect from my Daniel M. Dean to these people; not even now that I have finally been able to find information on most of his children who moved from Canada to Michigan...
