Hi, Anne: Sorry this has taken me so long to reply, and I do hope you're feeling much better these days! I'm am not descended from DEAL/DEALL or BROOKS. Sarah BROOKS had an illegitimate daughter with my g-g-g-grandfather Thomas LUFF. My interest in the BROOKS family is to see that Sarah and Thomas' daughter, Lydia Luff BROOKS, is recognized as a LUFF. Lydia went on to marry James WEBB in 1812. They lived in West Ham, Essex, and raised their family there. Lydia and James had: Ann, 1821 Ellen, 1825 Walter, 1826 Clara, 1839 James WEBB was b. 1791 in Chertsey, Surrey, (based on census) and died 1866 West Ham. Lydia was b. 1792 Egham, Surrey, and died 1882 West Ham. It was through Sarah BROOKS' will that I discovered Lydia had married and was able to trace her. I hope this helps your research. As I mentioned previously, I'm very familiar with the DEAL/DEALL name in the Egham area and have a lot of material on permanent loan at my local Family History Center, so don't hesitate to ask if I can be of help to you.
