My name is Sheree Deal and I am a descendant of Henry Deal and Rebecca Frye. My Great Grandfather is Jacob Allen Deal, Malindas brother. The story goes, Jacob Allen Deal left home because he didn't like his step mother. So, it is apparant that after Rebecca Frye passed away, Henry remarried. Now , he died 8 years after Rebecca, making Jacob about 17, leaving him with his stepmother. So it makes sense that he left home and became a washboard salesman on his mule. lol. Don't feel too bad for him, he settled in 12 Mile Creek, NC, Union County and married Lydia Moore. Her Father gave him 40 acres and helped build them a home. Jacob was very industrious, he ended up buying another 1000 acres of property, had 5 working farms, a General Store and a Cotton Gin Mill and Lumber Company. My Grandmother Deal meticulously kept track of family genealogy and recorded it in the family bible. She has listed Rebecca Frye in 3 seperate locations as just Rebecca Frye with no Bysinger at all. I am searching for the names of Rebecca Fryes parents too because I have Fryes from Catawba county on my other side too. I am just not completely sold on the Bysinger thing. I have seen their marriage certificate and her name is listed as Margaret Frye.
So, her name most likely was Margaret Rebecca Frye. I am thinking that his second wife was Margaret Bysinger or Rebecca Bysinger because those names keep popping up. Someone said his second wife was Rachael Setzer but that was Henry Jr.'s wife. I really want to KNOW this information is correct and you are the first person that is connected since your ancestor is Malinda. I guess that makes us some sort of cousin! I am sending you all I have on Henry and Rebecca and welcome any input you have.

Thank you
Sheree Deal
