Here's some information on BF Deal from "The Heritage of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama":

"Another son, Benjamin Franklin Deal, would also fight with the 26th and 50th Alabama Infantry Regiment - Company "G", enlisting as a private in April 1862, and survive to marry Nancy Euphemia Griffin on 18 October 1866. Together they would have three children born between 1867 and 1878 (Oredona, Panola Thompson and Annie Deal). Benjamin Franklin Deal and "Nannie" settled near the town of New Lexington in the northwest corner of Tuscaloosa County."

This was taken from an article about BF's father Joseph Jackson Deal, who moved to Alabama from Rome, Georgia, in 1856 (when BF was 13) and became a farmer and a schoolteacher.

BF Deal was born on July 17th, 1843 and died on May 7th, 1927. He is buried next to his wife and daughter (Panola) behind the Nazarene Primitive Baptist Church in Samantha, Alabama. I have pictures of their graves if you want them.

Hope this helps!
