Seeking biographical and genealogical data on George H. Deal, a private in the 20th NC who enlisted in Co. A on June 9, 1861 at Radcliffe Battery at age 28; born and resided in Rowan Co.; blacksmith; present or accounted for until paroled at Appomattox Court House, VA on April 9, 1865; married Julia Ann Sloop Mar. 15, 1866 in Rowan Co., NC. Any additional info is appreciated.
