I am also researching John Deakins. My ancestor David Trail(Fraile in some records) was a neighbor to John Deakins as late as 1733. A land deposition from this year states John's age as 62 which would make him born in 1670. The Deakins and Trails carried on this association for generations in nearby Montgomery County,Md. Do you have John's will? What names are on it? Any names of land tracts? I think I have the name somewhere of Robert Hooker's father.
