Evan J. Deakins married 17 Mar. 1839 to Mary Jane Higgins in Brown Co. IL. In 1850, he lived in Pike Co. MO, age 36 b. MD, stone cutter. With him were Angeline 9 b. IL, and Warren 7 b. IL, presumably his children; no wife. Where did they go from there? I think Evan was son of John Deakins Jr and his wife Margaret James (whose father was Evan James) of MD and OH.
