Deaf Schools in Texas

Where were the schools for the deaf in 1836-1840-1850-1870-1890 or later? Thomas and E. A.Bowles had several children that were deaf and could not talk. I know the school in Ft. Worth Texas 1880 is where charles Knight
and Zach Bowles attened, but I would like to know how early and where the other schools for the Deaf began. I have a lot of Bowles relatives that were Deaf. not born that way.
Some at age 10, 9, 3, 1. A letter from my great grandmother written in 1892 from Texas
tells the ages of her children and teaching her grandchildren how to talk with hands and mouth. love for some one to answer my guestions. Thanks.
