n 1876, Henry Winter Syle (11/9/18461/6/1890) became the nation's first deaf man to be ordained as an Episcopalian priest. Ten years later, he established a new Deaf congregation. I'd like to know more about him, and to obtain photos. (Gallaudet University Archives may have one . . . a second- or third-generation image.)
