N.Y.CITY LUTHERAN CHURCH FOR DEAF& MUTE Looking for name of N.Y. City Lutheran Church my great-grandparents attended ca 1870-1920. Both were deaf and mute. Although they lived in Jersey City NJ, my grandfather & his brother drove them to NY City by horse & buggy weekly to attend services there. Some in family believe the church still exists. Have been unable to learn names of parents of G-grandather ALEXANDER DELATORE THURSTON (born in 1846 NYC). If I can locate this church maybe the records will have this information. With this info I can search census & other records. Please help. All suggestions will be acknowledged.
