I am deaf. I have deaf family, too. I wonder if anyone in Virginia can help me out with my family tree. I am doing my family tree on my father's side. My father was deaf. Mostly, my father did not know all his families sides on my grandparents since I have been research for long time. I am searching on Elliot Carey, Beverly Dupee Carey (Elliot's son), Charles Allen Nace (for sure last name and adoption by Steizer), Mary Virginia Shanks-Nace. I have been a hard time to do this family tree on my father's sides because he never knew who those are. My father told me that my grandmother only told him that those person are his cousins, aunt, uncle, and etc, but never told him what was their name or who they are. I am college student in Gallaudet University. Sometimes, I don't have a time to do this since I am trying to do some commerical on Cd-rom by Multimedia class in Gallaudet Univ. That is what, I am trying to do on this. I am a senior in Gallaudet. I might will graduate in Dec 2000. It is a good experience to do both while I am doing Family research and taking some classes in Gallaudet Univ. If anyone read this messages, I hope to hear from those people. Who will read this message and help me out with my genealogy tree. Thank you so much. I am enjoying to discuss about deaf cultures if anyone needs to know about it. Let us in touch each other.
