Hi,
My maternal great grandfather was named Deacon, he was from Leicestershire, but I dont know if he was a clock maker. Not much is known about that side of the family. Only that they were from Leicester, Leicestershire, England.

Do you know if there were many Deacon families from Leicestershire? I would love to find out, and even see that book that you spoke of.
