Thank you so much for the response, Patricia. Yes I have seen the postings on the Hood Hall Deacons. Another problem I have is inconsistent years of birth for Thomas Deacon. In the 1841 UK census, when ages were rounded down to the nearest 5, he is entered as 40. On the 1851 census age is 63 but on his death certificate in 1859 his age is 60. Doesn't help that wife, Mary Kelly, also has a range of birth years and Wexford and Waterford as birthplaces!I have no idea where or when he married though there were children born 1837 and 1838 for whom I can't find a birth or baptism record, and one in 1942 with a Liverpool birth cert.
