I don't know if this will help you at all, but I know that my great-grandmother was Mary Ann Elizabeth Deacon, born St.Olave parish in 1891. She married Bertie Alfred Bryan in September of 1914 and they had 4 children, Bertie Jr, Olive, Constance, and Iris.

Bertie Jr. was my grandfather.

Not much to go on, but I thought I'd let you at least know that there were Deacons in that area in the late 1800's.
