Frank, are you referring to the Deacons who settled in Sourth Sherbrooke Twp, Lanark Co.? I also am aware of a Deacon settling in Darling or Lanark Twp in the 1820's. My family arrived when Mary, widow of George Deacon, arrived in the 1840's from Wexford, Ireland and settled in Beckwith Twp, near Franktown, Ontario. Mary and her daughter Elizabeth (Bradley) are buried there. George moved on to Pakenham Twp and eventually to McNab Twp, Renfrew Co (White Lake) where the family is still present.

J. Deacon
