The observation about biblical names is interesting. Abraham is the only one I have come across (in my Irish genealogy) so I didn't know it had occurred with any frequency. I'm used to them in my Jewish and Puritan lines. I will have to see what I can find out about Cromwellian settlers, about whom I know nothing. My Cronyn ancestors were Church of Ireland - perhaps they were of similar origins as the Deacons ? But Cronyn is, I believe, an Irish name, so who knows . . .
