I have found a record in an "Index to marriage licence bonds, Diocese of Ossory, Ferns & Leighlin, 1691-1845" a record of the following marriage:

James Deacon of Daryanimore, Co Kilkenny, farmer to Susannah Cronyn of Jerpoint Parish on 19 April 1775.

Do you know if this is a connection to you ? I am trying to find the link between a Revd Job Deacon (1794-1850)(who, according to another message board posting, had a brother James) and who apparently (same thread) was a cousin of my ancestor, Revd. Benjamin Cronyn (of Kilkenny). Both Reverands settled in Ontario, Canada.

Does any of this link in with your Deacons ?
