The 1790 US Census for DE doesn't exist any more. A book was published compiled from tax lists that seems like a 1790 DE Census but it is not -- and the book poorly documents its sources.
Tax lists for the 1780s and 1790s do survive in the DE Archives, Dover. They are not on line, but the DE Families Project has an ongoing effort to transcribe the tax lists to get them available. Why not volunteer?
