The Archive staff was simply telling you they could not do your research for you.

There is no published 10 years' work of a different researcher abstracting Court orders and/or case files. As is usually the case, if you want actual data the place to look is where the records are.

You can go to the DE Archive in Dover and go through the County Court records yourself, or hire a researcher to do so for you. It would also be worth checking with the Sussex County Clerk's office to see whether all of their old court records were transferred to the Archive.

There is a guide at the Archive to what sort of Court record is available where (whether paper record or microfilm), which may also state whether the records are indexed and where to find the index.

You can also look at the LDS Library catalog list of what they have on microfilm, at www.familysearch.org. If you see a likely Court series, you can borrow the microfilm to look at either at an LDS Stake Family History Center or possibly by inter-library loan at your local library.

You are lucky to have a specific time frame to look for.

Good hunting,
Jade
