John Houston (Huston) + Mary Calhoun (Calhoon)

According to 1823 Delaware probate records, my 3G-Grandfather, John R. Huston/Houston was married to Polly Calhoun/Calhoon, daughter of Elisha and Alice (Alcey) Calhoon of Sussex County, Delaware. Other than the mention in Elisha Calhoon's probate administration of "John Houston and Polly his wife", I have found no reference to this marriage in either the Delaware or Maryland archives.

Another site lists a marriage in Abbeville, SC between John Houston and Mary Calhoun, 1774-1890.

I'd like to pursue the Abbeville marriage, but the date is given only as 1774-1890. Does anyone have any information on the marriage of John Houston and Mary Calhoun, either in Delmarva or Abbeville? Thank you!
