I am looking for info on John Hudson who lived in Sussex County DE about the same time. He had a son Seth born 1793 and other children later. Seth fought in the War of 1812. Our family history says that two Hudson brothers came by boat to Delaware in the 1700's and settled at Sandy Branch and Polly's Branch of the Indian River. No one now knows where these branches were exactly, so far as I can find out. My 1800's ancestors came from Dagsboro. In our records are Dagsborough Hundred and Baltimore Hundred. I have other Hudson ancestors from a different branch of Hudsons. They lived near Carey's Camp and Millsboro and the farthest back I have found is Mary Dingle, mother of Edward Dingle Hudson. Does any of this ring a bell with you?
