Thanks for the reply! I did a lot of searching last night, and came up with a map similar to this, showing the Northwest Hundred, but without the county lines. Your map is a big help. Sounds like maybe these Bible entries (which were done after-the-fact) mentioned Wilmington because it was the closest large city. (Or maybe they were like us Alaskans who consider ourselves "near" the closest city, which is 400 miles away!!!) :-)

Since you live in Delaware, could you make some suggestions as to where I can write (or look up online) for records of my Gibson Hurst and Rebecca Morris (daughter of Curtis Morris & Elizabeth Wright), born, repectively, 7-17-1797 & 3-12-1799, in Sussex County?
