Where is Wilmington???

A family Bible lists Ann Rebecca Hurst and Robert Gibson Hurst as born April 18, 1826 and April 27, 1824, respectively, "near Wilmington, Sussex County, Delaware." I find Wilmington in New Castle County. Was there a change in the county boundaries? Or was Wilmington near the county line? The 1830 census lists the family in what looks like "Northwest Fork Hundred." Can someone clarify this for me? Can someone point me to a good map of this area?

Thanks much!
