Cyrus Bell WILSON is the progenitor of many of those named WILSON who lived in Sussex County, Delaware since the mid 1800s. Most of his descendants settled in Sussex County, Delaware and Worcester County, Maryland.
Cyrus Bell WILSON, son of Cyrus William WILSON and Eleanor DICKERSON of Sussex County, Delaware, was born 15 October 1843 in Sussex County, Delaware, and died 25 July 1919. He married 27 September 1865 Martha Ellen SMACK (b 7 Aug 1847, d 18 Apr 1882), daughter of Kendall SMACK and Elizabeth JARMAN of Worcester County, Maryland.
After Martha Ellen SMACK died, Cyrus remarried. Cyrus and his wives's children: William Kendall WILSON, Ida May WILSON (DRYDEN), Charles Washington WILSON, Martha Elizabeth WILSON (HITCHENS), Mary Jane WILSON (WILLEY), Isaac T. WILSON, Robert Edward WILSON, Alice G. WILSON, Cyrus B. WILSON, Jr., David Alfred WILSON, Archibald C. WILSON, Helen B. WILSON, and Bertha E. WILSON.
