Hi - My maiden name was Ruth Sarah Burris ( i go by Sally) - i was born in Wilm. De and my dad was Bernard William Burris - born Feb 12 1921 (maybe 22) his father was Rufus Burris from Sussex - married to Sarah Barrett (called Sadie) also from De. They Had a large family - Beulah, Bertha, Bernice, Barbara, Beatrice, Blanche and Bernard.
(notice a trend???) THey have all passed away and now
no one in my immediate family seems to know much about our family prior to this - except that they had been in the Eastern Seaboard area for a very long time. I would like to know about the William you are looking for and wondered if there is a connection. I would love to hear from you - thanks! sally
