William BROWN (died at 55) in 1812 m Elizabeth PRETTYMAN (b 1792-1801 d age 90), both natives of Delaware, d/o John and Nancy Ann (MILLS) PRETTYMAN. Their children are: Daniel, William, Mary, Eliza J, John, Charles, Joseph, Matilda, Sarah, and Jacob BROWN b2 Apr 1833 near Bridgeville, Sussex, DE m Martha Jane CASSEL d/o William and Nancy (RUNNELS) CASSEL. I have more on descendants of Jacob, but I am searching for connection to ancestors.

On the 1880 Seaford, Sussex, DE Census T9-0118 p729D I found two families that look promising:

William P BROWN 61 (1819) DE Huckster DE DE
Margaret Wife 58 (1822) DE DE DE
Martin son 19 (1861) DE Sexton
Annie BROWN dau 15 (1865) DE
William D KINSEY Gson 17 (1863) DE
Eliza BROWN widowed mother 85 (1795) DE DE DE
Is this the same William, son of William & Eliza?

Next door (Is the the son of William above?)
George W BROWN 37 (1843) DE Oyster Packer DE DE
Rosenia wife 34 (1846) DE DE DE
George L BROWN 6 (1874) DE
Laura 3 (1877) DE
Rosa 9mo (1880) DE
Matilda FLOWER Widowed Mother 54 (1826) DE DE DE
Erma BRADLEY other 12 (1868) Black Nurse

Also on Seaford Census T9-0118 P 711D
William BROWN 45 (1835) DE Farmer DE DE
Elizabeth wife 20 (1860) MD MD MD
Hiram 1 (1879) DE
Mary B BROWN 3mo (1880) DE

In Jacob BROWN's history he moved to Ohio @9yrs old, grew up on a farm, at 18 Crawforsville, Indiana then Vermilion Co, Illinois during Civil War (Danville Co I), 1869 came to Labette Co, Kansas later Parsons then McCune,Crawford,KS.

I am assuming some of William and Eliza(beth) BROWN's children were married and didn't move to Ohio. Does anyone recognize my family and know when the older children were born or who they married? Thanks for your help, (Debbie) knoebel@ktc.com
