Hi Judy,
I think we are related. I also think that at least one line of the Parmers stayed in and around Shelby Texas into the 1900's as i find family there around 1915 but don't know who else in the family was there, maybe your side. They were also in LA but I didn't know to look in Desoto, my line was there in the 1890's but in Plaindealing, Bossier County, LA. I am corresponding with someone who has the line back quite a bit farther and we have several Louisa's, Nancy's and Elizabeth's in the family. Please e-mail me at and I'll send you the details I have and maybe we can sort some questions out together as our lines seem to be alot of what Don is just starting to discover.
