Hi Cassie, Just now noticed your reply. Do you have any Parmer/Palmers that was in Shelby Co and Panola Co TX from 1835 to after 1850? I also found an Elizabeth Parmer living with her daughter, Rebecca Choate, and her family in DeSoto Parr. LA in 1850. The posting said that the Parmers had lived in Panola Co and Shelby Co. It's possible that this could be my John Parmer/Palmer's wife. My great grandmother was Louisa Palmer that married Alexander Alonzo Reed sometime bef 1840 in TX. They were on the tax list in Shelby Co in 1846 and the 1880 census. I have a copy of a land grant to John Parmer in Shelby/Panola Co. It shows that he was there before Mar 2, 1836. I'm sure that it is Louisa's father. I do know that his name was John and he was there about 1835. If you know of any Parmer/Palmers in that area in that time frame, please let me know.

Thanks, Judy
