Hello Brad,

Coolspring Presbyterian Church, dedicated in 1855, and was the 3rd building to stand at a location on which the first church stood about 1730. The earliest grave dates back to 1741. The Hunter House was moved from near Coolspring Church and restored. It is now near 3rd Street in Lewes, DE. I don't know how far they moved that home, but I doubt it was very far from Lewes. The Presbyterian congregation has published a pamphlet on Coolspring Church, which used to be for sale in most Presbyterian churches about 25 years ago. I'm not sure if it is now a part of PCA or PCUSA.

Take care,

William

Can anyone give detailed directions to the Cool Spring (Methodist?) Cemetery? I drove through Cool Spring on Rt 9 and poked around some back roads with no luck. Looking for final resting places of the Pettyjohn families. Thanks for any help.
